Farmstead Circle uses cookies and browser local storage to provide essential platform functionality. We are committed to transparency about how and why we use these technologies. This policy explains what cookies and local storage data we set, their purpose, and your options regarding them.

2. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit.

Local Storage and Session Storage are web browser features that allow websites to store data locally on your device. Unlike cookies, this data is not sent to the server with every request.

3. First-Party Cookies and Storage We Use

Farmstead Circle uses first-party cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the platform to function or to remember interface preferences you set. When Google Ads conversion measurement is enabled for a deployment, we also set a short-lived first-party session flag so we record a waitlist conversion once after you submit.

We do not use a server-side session cookie such as connect.sid. Authentication uses Firebase ID tokens as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics and Advertising Technologies

Farmstead Circle does not load Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or similar third-party behavioral analytics. We do not sell your activity to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use cookies for on-site retargeting audiences.

When a deployment is built with Google Ads conversion IDs configured, we load Google's conversion tag (gtag) so we can measure waitlist sign-ups that came from ads. That tag may set Google advertising cookies and use conversion linker to connect an ad click to a waitlist submission. The conversion event fires on the waitlist thank-you page at most once per browser session.

We do not display a cookie consent banner. That posture is designed for US/Virginia operation. If we add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, retargeting, or similar behavioral advertising, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent or opt-out controls before those technologies load.

5. Third-Party Resources That May Set Their Own Cookies

Some features load scripts or assets from third parties that may set their own cookies or use local storage under their policies. Farmstead Circle does not control those cookies.

Stripe: When you use payment features, Stripe may set cookies for secure payment processing and fraud prevention. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Google Maps / Places: Map and address autocomplete features load Google Maps JavaScript. Google may set cookies or use storage related to Maps. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts: Public pages may load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Google may process connection data under its policies when fonts are requested.
Firebase Authentication: Sign-in uses Google Firebase / Identity Toolkit endpoints. See Firebase Privacy Information.
Google Ads: When conversion measurement is enabled, Google may set advertising cookies used to attribute a waitlist sign-up to an ad click. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses advertising cookies.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

There is no cookie consent banner. First-party storage is required for the platform to function or remember your UI preferences. Disabling those cookies or clearing site data may prevent you from staying signed in or may reset preferences. Blocking third-party cookies may prevent Google Ads conversion measurement but will not block you from joining the waitlist.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings:

Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

To clear local storage data, you can use your browser's developer tools or clear all site data through your browser settings.

We may update this Cookie & Storage Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we use cookies or local storage, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
